Angel Cejudo, a four-time undefeated AIA Wrestling State Champion with 150 victories and zero defeats, inspired Henry. His first and second years were won in Arizona before relocating to Colorado Springs, Colorado to become a resident athlete at the US Olympic Training Center.

He won the Colorado State Championships (CHSAA) as a junior and senior and was named the ASICS National High School Wrestler of the Year in 2006. He was named to USA Wrestling Magazine’s Dream Team of High School All-Americans the same year.

In 2006, Cejudo won the Fargo National Freestyle title. Soon after her victory, she began full-time training at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Instead of competing in college, he chose to seek a job on a global scale.
